Can you believe it’s November already?! I swear I was celebrating New Years’ 5 minutes ago and now I’m struggling to get my head around the fact that Christmas is next month! Oh my goodness! However, the start of a new month means I get to do my monthly favourites; my first one on this blog. I’m really excited to be writing my favourites this month because I have been in love with so many different products, so it has been quite hard to narrow them down, but I have tried my best haha! So let’s get into it…
Too Faced Born This Way Foundation
This foundation has slowly but surely worked it’s way to be one of my all time favourites. I had seen so much hype about this online so thought I had to try it, and I am so happy I bought into the hype! It’s a medium to full coverage, but it is definitely buildable which I love, as sometimes I do like to differ in what coverage I want. I also find it gives me a really natural finish! It can come off quite dewy depending on what primer I use underneath, but I have tried it without any primer and the finish is more of a satin. I have found that it’s quite easy to give this foundation more of a matte finish quite easily with the use of a mattifying powder or mattifying primer, which is amazing as it can cater to so many different looks. I have been recommending this to so many people; it’s an absolute must have!
Too Faced Born This Way Concealer
The matching concealer to the foundation that I’ve just mentioned and oh my goodness I am in love! I’ve never really been a fan of more high end concealers as I have always loved the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer but this has completely changed my mind! It has medium coverage which, just like the foundation, is completely buildable depending on your needs. It’s unbelievably creamy and blends out like an absolute dream. I love the fact that honestly, you could apply layers and layers of this concealer and it does not get cakey whatsoever! I find it doesn’t crease on me at all once I’ve set it and personally, I find that a lot goes a long way so even though the price point is a bit steep for a concealer it is totally worth it.
Sephora Collection Colorful Face Powders – Blush (Passionate)
I’ve never been the biggest lover of blushes because I’ve always been really paranoid about my rosy cheeks but I have been using this every single day for the past two months or so! I first saw Kylie Jenner talk about this on her Snapchat, and yes I am one of those people! So when my boyfriend went on holiday to America in the summer I asked him to pick this up for me and I’m so happy he got it for me! It is so pigmented so I only need the tiniest amount of product which is great. It’s a beautiful mauvey, muted blush brown shade, with a satin finish. I find that it is really longlasting and gives the most lovely natural and healthy looking glow to my cheeks.
Anasatasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick (Ashton)
I’m fairly new to the world of both ABH as a brand and liquid lipsticks as a product. This is another purhcase that my boyfriend made whilst on holiday for me and I picked this shade because Kathleenlights always raves about it! When I first tried it on I was a bit unsure cause it was a lot darker than shades I usually wear. Although recently it has been my absolute go to! I don’t know whether it’s because we are now in autumn and it is the most fitting shade for this time of year but I am loving it! On me, it shows up as a browny nude shade, with somewhat of an orange undertone. I do find it to be very long wearing and really comfortable to wear. My only negative is that sometimes, depending on what I’ve eaten it does sometimes need reapplying, but I don’t know whether that’s just me being fussy! This has definitely made me want to try out so many more shades of their liquid lipsticks!
Make Up Revolution Blur Primer
This is a much more recent purchase of mine but it has very quickly become one of my favourites! I’ve not used many blurring products before but I’m a really big fan of this. I find it makes my base makeup look so flawless once applied and makes it look so amazing on photographs! Taking the price point into consideration aswell that makes this so much more better for me because it is just so affordable! I wouldn’t use it a primer on its own, I definitely think it has to be applied on top of another as I don’t find it affects the longevity of your makeup whatsoever but the look it gives your base is a must for me so I don’t mind applying it on top of another primer.
Real Technqiues Buffing Brush
I’ve used this brush for about 2 years now, but I keep swaying, trying out new brushes and sponges to apply my foundation but I always seem to come back to this! It is just so so good! I’m pretty sure you can only get this in the Core Collection kit, (but that kit is a love of mine too; you get 4 brushes and it’s super affordable!) When applying my foundation using this brush I find it best to push the product in with it first, and then use buffing motions to really work the product into the skin. I find that using this brush always makes my base looks really flawless and it it is just so easy to work with! A definite must have!
I don’t think I’ll be able to explain properly how hard it was for me to narrow down my favourite products for this month, because trust me I could have gone on and on! However, these few products beat everything else that I’ve been loving.
Have you used any of these products? If so, what do you think of them? If not, what have been your favourite products the past month? Let me know in the comments below!
